    Building Muscle Is The Key To Fat Loss

    It has been shown that on average 0.5kg of muscle burns an extra 50 calories a day. A person who weighs 100kg at 20% bodyfat carries around 80kg of muscle mass (for arguments sake). A person who weighs 100kg at 10% bodyfat carries around 90kg of muscle. Both weigh the same but the person sitting at 10% bodyfat burns an extra 1000 calories per day doing absolutely NOTHING. Isn’t that cool?

     

    This is why you MUST continually aim to build muscle and lose fat not just lose weight.
